Tech Tip Tuesday: Passwords

Keeping your online accounts safe and secure should always be a priority. Whether it is a simple social media account or your bank account log-in, every password chosen should be different and nearly impossible to guess. Here’s a quick list on how to keep your online accounts safe.

  • Ensure your passwords are unique and guarded for all your log-ins. Try to have 3-4 go-to passwords that can be adjusted in ways that are easy to remember.

  • To decide on a password, try picking your favorite subject in school or an obscure one-word hobby. Once you have it, make sure there is a Capital letter, number, and special symbol ($, !, @) in it.

  • Never use easy-to-guess passwords, such as family and friend names, a school you attended, or your workplace!

  • To guard your password, always set up a two-factor authenticator.
